On Thursday, June 5, 2025, Lions School proudly joined the global community in observing World Environment Day under the official theme, #BeatPlasticPollution. Our students and faculty demonstrated tremendous enthusiasm and commitment, turning awareness into tangible action. The day served as a powerful reminder that the fight against plastic pollution requires continuous effort, and we were thrilled to see our students leading the way in environmental stewardship.
To deliver a truly impactful message, the students staged a compelling street drama focusing on the detrimental effects of plastic waste and the urgent need to embrace sustainable alternatives. This dramatic performance captured the attention of the community, resonating deeply with spectators. Following the drama, our student-led awareness walk took to the roads, equipped with educational banners and slogans, successfully mobilizing support and educating the public on how to say a definitive “no” to single-use plastics.
The success of Environment Day 2025 is a testament to the passion and dedication of the Lions School community. While we celebrate this achievement, our commitment does not end here. We will continue to embed sustainable practices within our curriculum and campus life. Furthermore, we are already planning ahead, ready to engage with the next major global focus—Climate Action—for World Environment Day 2026.
